I realised a concept, which took me quite a while, but once I had established it, I was able to begin experimenting and running with the ideas. The concept is centred around stagnancy within visual culture. I wanted to explore this visually in quite a literal way, using a colour palette that represents stagnant water. I also wanted to try and emulate a modernist aesthetic through my type selection, layout, composition and use of shape and form. My initial experimentations demonstrate this well.
